Refund & cancellation policy

Scope

This policy applies to consultation fees and deposits paid to Foxmere Investment Counsel for UK financial advice engagements described on this site. It does not cover investment product charges levied by third-party providers, nor goods we do not sell.

Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on how far the engagement has progressed and whether a deposit or full fee has been paid. Statutory rights under UK consumer law remain unaffected where they apply.

Timeframe for requests

Cancel or reschedule requests should be sent in writing to hello@index-queries.digital at least five working days before a booked meeting wherever possible. Refund requests for completed work must be raised within fourteen days of the advice letter date, stating the reason.

Full refunds

A full refund of fees and deposits is available if we cancel an engagement for our own capacity reasons, or if you cancel before we have opened your fact-find file and before any analysis has begun.

Partial refunds

If you cancel after the fact-find meeting but before the written advice letter is delivered, we may retain a portion of the fee reflecting work already performed (typically document review and meeting time) and refund the balance. The retained amount will be itemised.

Non-refundable items

Fees for meetings already held, completed analysis, and delivered advice letters are non-refundable except where we have made a material error in the engagement we agreed. Third-party valuation or provider charges paid on your behalf, if any, are non-refundable once incurred.

Deposits

Booking deposits secure meeting dates. Deposits are refundable if you cancel with at least five working days’ notice and work has not started. Late cancellations may forfeit the deposit, which is then applied against administrative time reserved for your appointment.

Cancellation & rescheduling

You may reschedule once without charge if you give at least three working days’ notice. Further reschedules or short-notice changes may incur an administrative fee agreed in advance. We will offer alternative dates within a reasonable window.

No-shows

If you miss a scheduled meeting without notice, the deposit may be retained and a new deposit required to rebook.

Work already started

Once analysis or draft recommendations are underway, fees reflect that progress. Stopping mid-engagement does not automatically create a full refund; we will propose a fair settlement based on stages completed.

Refund process & timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen working days of approval. You will receive email confirmation of the amount and reference.
